First Semester (Sophomore Year)………..Done!

The beginning to first semester of sophomore year has went by quickly, but still had stress to offer just as the other semesters have so far. I currently have received two A’s and a B in three out of the four classes I took. I was anxious to see what I got in Biology because this semester I was doing very well in our LABS, but the lecture test were a little more difficult then I imagined them to be.I ended up passing my second biology class of college receiving a C, which I am satisfied with because science in general is a tough course. I am currently in Minneapolis for the break and happy to finally get away from Madison, South Dakota for a few weeks as I get prepared for the second semester beginning January 9th. I have been home since the 14th and was happy to see my big brother who I hadn’t seen since I was a sophomore year of high school. I was able to be here this entire break unlike last year being on the basketball team and causing limited six days with my loved ones. While I am home my goal is to relax and not worry so much, but also thinking about the process of transferring and possible future schools to attend. There isn’t much to speak on during this break, but I do continue to grind and keep my faith because I wouldn’t be put in this situation unless the man above didn’t believe I could handle this and get pass these hard times in my life.

First Semester Sophomore Year Coming to an end!

Its crazy how fast this month has went past along with the other months after august as well. Throughout the month I found a way to stay focused with school and trying my hardest to finish out this semester as strong as possible leading into semester two. I have been struggling a bit with Biology throughout the semester and I know its only because of the test, which happens to be one of my areas I’m not the strongest with. Lately, I’ve been giving all of my hard work I put in and ways of asking for help, up to God. I pray and pray that I will pass this class and continue my success here at Dakota State while I’m still here.

Secondly, sports has always been a huge part of my life and since I started in first grade I never would’ve thought that I would take a year off ever in my lifetime as a teen or early 20 and 30’s. Unfortunately, I decided to do just that because I felt as though I wasn’t been treated right as an athlete with coaches knowing that why I was recruited here and besides it being a big part in my life, a major factor of why I came to Dakota State. I am looking to go else where with my education and basketball career. I know God will continue to have blessing my way and that’s why I will not give up on this dream I’ve worked too hard for to become a reality.

I will be finishing my year out here, but I wont be here next coming fall. I think as of right now I have a few colleges in the following states/specific city(ies) that I am considering: Minnesota (Home), Kansas, Chicago, West Virginia, and Iowa. Right now I am focusing on school and want to know by second semester where I’m going so I can get all of my FAFSA and transferring process easy to start and finish. Its the first time i’ll be readjusting to a new school and environment. I never changed school throughout Elementary, Middle, or High school. The time has came now and it just shows that God never puts you into a situation he knows you can’t handle and I thinking of my situation in that manner, I appreciate his faith in me and that is my faith in him continues to get stronger day by day.

My time is coming and patience is key. Great things come from out of patience. #Believe
